Angelo Fernandez is a seasoned organizational professional with 17 years of human resources, organizational development, and risk management experience in both Fortune 500 companies and public sector agencies. He is certified in the use of Crucial Conversations, Speed of Trust, as well as an extensive range of professional and personal development programs including 5 Dysfunctions, Team Dimensions, DiSC, generational differences, change management, and conflict resolution. Angelo is a certified Professional in Human Resources by both SHRM & HRCI, as well as a Certified Career Development Facilitator with the NCDA.
Angelo's strengths lie in creating and implementing organizational development programs and strategies including; culture alignment, employee engagement, team building, succession planning, change management, communication platforms, and leadership development. He has also successfully transitioned executive-level leadership, implemented organization-wide business process improvement programs, and has led organizational cultural transformations. Perhaps his most unique talent is in identifying and empowering individual talents and leading people to success.
Angelo earned a B.S. in Environmental Health from Illinois State University. Active in community service, Angelo also teaches an Anti-Bully Program to youth through the Vail Valley Foundation’s YouthPower365 and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to adults. In addition, he is Past-President of the High Country Human Resource Association and is currently serving as Director District West for the Colorado State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management. Angelo is committed to developing the local leadership pipeline by partnering with various local organizations to deliver quality experiences to the community. Angelo has lived in the Vail Valley for 15 years, is married to his wife Erin, and is the proud father of his twelve-year-old son, Blu.
